I'm tired of not having any time for me and I have no one to say that to. If I say it to anyone in my family I get well this is what you wanted. We told you to put her in the nursing home. If I ask my brother for help his response is I'm being selfish. I need a weekend, just one weekend with out pee in the floor and wet clothes in the washing basket.

I honestly relate with your situation. If you have the means to place her, frankly, you should. You both will have a much better quality of life.

Lizzy72 I can't do that to her. After working for 5 years as a mental health therapist in a nursing home dealing with dementia patients o just can't do that to her. Not unless I have no other option. It's not the care that she might receive its listening to the staff discuss them and complain about taking care of them. I guess at this point I know too much and am not comfortable placing her in a nursing home.
