We couldn’t have achieved any of this without you, our dedicated community of carers and supporters. Your stories, resilience, and commitment inspire us every day.

As we wrap up 2024, it’s a time to reflect on an incredible year of progress, milestones, and community impact at We Talk Care. Together with our growing community of over 2,000 subscribers and an average daily reach of over 1,000 people, we’ve made meaningful strides in supporting carers across the UK.

Here’s a look back at some of the key highlights that made this year so special:

Founder Joe Ndilla’s Academic Achievement

Our founder, Joe Ndilla, reached a significant milestone this year, completing his Master’s Degree with the support of the Peter Coates Foundation. This achievement reflects Joe’s unwavering dedication to learning and advocacy, qualities that drive We Talk Care forward every day.

A Visit to the House of Commons

In November, We Talk Care had the honour of attending the House of Commons for the launch of the Blue Sky Social Care Card, coinciding with Carers Rights Day 2024

This event brought national attention to the challenges faced by carers and the importance of initiatives like the Blue Sky Social Care Card, which offers both practical support and recognition for carers’ invaluable contributions.

BBC Radio Stoke: Raising Awareness

Joe Ndilla and his wife Sam, a carer herself, appeared on BBC Radio Stoke, discussing the mission of We Talk Care and sharing personal insights into the struggles and triumphs of carers

Joe highlighted, “Carers are the backbone of our communities, and our mission is to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.”

This powerful conversation resonated with listeners and amplified the importance of a strong, supportive network for carers.

Exciting Partnerships

This year, we were proud to partner with two outstanding organisations:

Dougie Mac: Supporting carers of those with life-limiting conditions through shared resources and outreach

Carer’s First: Strengthening our community’s resources and extending our reach to provide even more support to carers across the UK.

These partnerships allow us to amplify our impact, offering carers more opportunities to connect, learn, and thrive.

Looking Ahead to 2025: Big Plans on the Horizon

As we celebrate our achievements, we’re also looking forward to an exciting year ahead. In 2025, We Talk Care will be launching a brand-new app, designed to enhance the way carers connect and access resources.

This app marks the next step in our mission to empower carers and create a world where no carer feels alone.

Thank You for an Incredible Year

We couldn’t have achieved any of this without you, our dedicated community of carers and supporters. Your stories, resilience, and commitment inspire us every day.

As we step into 2025, let’s continue to work together, lifting each other up and creating a brighter future for carers everywhere.

Join us as we move forward—because together, we are stronger.
