My mum is freaking out. She just realised that she lives with me and said I have been lying to her and that I didn’t tell her that I moved here 1 1/2 years ago. She moved in here 2 months ago. I’m trying to be patient.

I have heard people tell their loved ones that their house is having something done to it that is why they are staying with them.
Maybe tell her the roof, or the interior is getting painted.
Have her look at paint samples and pick out a colour.
