Big news for carers in the UK!
Starting on the 6th April this year, the Carer's Leave Act 2023 ensures up to a week of unpaid leave each year for employees caring for someone due to illness, injury, disability, or age.
This day-one right aims to support carers in balancing work with their responsibilities. 🌟 Let's celebrate this step towards recognising and supporting the invaluable role of carers in our society. 💙

"Martha's Rule" is set to be introduced in NHS hospitals starting April, offering patients and their families the ability to request a rapid second opinion on care.
This change, inspired by the tragic loss of 13-year-old Martha Mills due to missed sepsis symptoms, aims to improve patient safety by incorporating family observations into care assessments.
